Make a Candy From Your Product Page With These Content Creation Tools

A harsh competition in ecommerce should make you sweat. You know it’s a battlefield for the fast and furious. And, for creative (aka.forward-thinking) ones.

Covid-19 pushes brands and retailers to cope with increased demand in some business areas, like food, household goods, gaming, communication and teleconferencing, internet, health & safety supplies, etc. The sales are now mainly performed online. People are stuck at home — whether following their own safety guidelines or fearing to get a fine. Here the sellers’ rival begins. As the market moves to online sales channels, it makes sense to wrap product information in a more attractive outfit. And pretty fast. Agree with me? Let’s break it down.

Why should you pay attention to product information? Buyers cannot feel or touch the product (can’t experience it in real life) and it is especially important for sellers to be able to create a persuasive product content.

Okay. Let’s step on a mission: create/enhance product information (including product descriptions and product images), making it SEO friendly and self-assuring just within a week.

MISSION BEGINS

A good product page detected

What is actually a good product page? A good product page is kinda insurance for a buyer, where you put all product specifications, close-to-reality images, return policy, instructions or guidelines, or any other information that would give the most explicit information on a product. If it leaves them with confidence, then — bam. Deal, purchase, no returns.

A great product page is SEO friendly. It is Google-tasty, it gets along well with Amazon search engine. And they put you on top.

A great product page delivers well-crafted rich product information. Check out how to write sales-driven product descriptions and how to make perfect product images for ecommerce websites.

You can’t do it all on your own, and why would you?

Here we compiled a list of tools to enhance your product content. Starting from the basic image editors, spell-checking apps and way up to the integral product content platforms, and other curious product marketing tools.

Images Tools

Simply. Your customers are taking pictures of your products. You can’t just let this valuable content go to waste. The app says you can collect, moderate, and curate this content for use across your website and marketing campaigns, etc. And, a nice feature, from my standpoint: Smart Image Ranking Algorithm to rank images based on views, shares, conversions, and more. The service gives customers few ways they can share pictures: by hash tagging their images in social networks, uploading to your ecommerce website, or sharing through your app. Well, these kind services add an authenticity to product content. A big yes.

The company also offers Ratings and Reviews and Q&A Integrations.

A similar platform to enhance your product images. Helps to Integrate user-generated content, like photos and videos into your ecommerce store. From a buyer’s perspective, it seems to be a valuable social proof. Photoshop and Illustrator are aimed for professional use. If you’re planning to make a big retouching work or graphic design for websites, product packaging, and similar — go for it. But I suggest you also check out more user-friendly options, which can give unexpectedly good results in improving your product images. Sellers need to provide different-style product images: 360-degrees, with different perspectives and angles, close-ups, give the ability to zoom in. But if it all fails to provide full information on a product, it’s not enough. For this reason, you’re free to use any supporting materials, such as tables, instructions, graphs, etc. Infogram focuses on helping you create infographics, charts, and data visualization. And this was a huge helper in my work on enhancing product content.

Especially handy in the era of information flood with a short span of buyers' attention.  The app aims to help you tighten up your words and sentences to make them more impactful. Hemingway uses colors to make the suggestions:

Yellow: denotes long or structurally complex sentences, and suggests to cut them into a few.

Red: the sentences, which might confuse the reader. Better rewrite.

Purple: those words usually have simpler alternatives

Blue: words, that can be omitted. Such as some adverbs or weak and hesitant language.

According to a study by acmqueue, less than one-third of Google’s search results include a rich snippet with Schema.org markup. Let’s see an example.

<h2itemprop=”description”>The local bakery shop with the vegan options!
