EU Energy Labelling · Regulation (EU) 2017/1369

EPREL database registration solution, done for you — at catalogue scale.

If you sell energy-labelled products in the EU, every model must be registered in EPREL before it ships. We make that automatic — your whole catalogue, validated and audit-ready, with the official labels handed back — and we keep it current as your range changes.

See how it works

No registration,
no sale.

Under EU 2017/1369, any manufacturer, importer or EU representative must register every applicable model in EPREL before placing it on the market.

Who must register —lighting, appliances, heating, displays, and now smartphones & tablets.

Why it matters now

A regulatory must-do — and the scope keeps growing

Manual doesn’t scale

Typing models into the EPREL portal one by one is slow and error-prone. At catalogue scale, every rejected registration is rework — and every gap is audit exposure with national market-surveillance authorities.

Who it applies to

Manufacturers, importers and distributors with energy-labelled products in their EU catalogue — lighting, appliances, heating, displays, and now smartphones & tablets.

The scope keeps growing

New product categories enter scope through EU delegated acts on a rolling basis — smartphones & tablets became labelled in 2025. Each new category is a fresh compliance deadline.

What you get

A done-for-you compliance service — not a tool you’re left to run

A compliant catalogue

Every applicable model registered in EPREL with a registration number — legally clear to sell across the EU.

Print-ready labels & fiches

The official A–G energy label and product information sheet for each model, retrieved and delivered back — ready for packaging and PDPs.

Fewer rejections

We validate against the EU rules before submitting, so models pass the first time instead of bouncing back from EPREL.

Audit-ready & current

A clear record of what was submitted, plus scheduled updates as your catalogue changes — compliance that stays maintained, not a one-off.

Free trial check

Try it on three of your own products

How it works: enter up to three real models — brand, model identifier and category. We run them against the EPREL database and the schema rules, then email you the first result. No charge, no obligation.

What lands in your inbox

01

Registration status per model

Found in EPREL, missing, or mismatched against what you sell today.

02

The gaps in your data

The mandatory fields your product data is missing for that category.

03

Label readiness

Whether a compliant label and product information sheet can be generated right now.

04

Effort for the full catalogue

An estimate of effort and timeline to register everything else.

Your data is processed under GDPR by an ISO 27001-certified team in the EU, used only to produce this check, and never shared. Typical turnaround: one business day.

How we deliver it

From your raw feed to registered models — a real, automated pipeline

A productionized pipeline inside our PIM, Gepard — not a spreadsheet and manual uploads. We own every step end to end.

  1. Establish the connection

We set up the secure machine-to-machine link to EPREL — certificates, credentials, product groups. You never touch the portal.

  2. Ingest your catalogue

Send a packaged feed plus the files EPREL requires (spectrum graphs, technical docs); we bring it into one clean, complete structure.

  3. Map to the EU schema

We map your attributes onto EPREL’s required fields per category — the expertise you can’t buy off the shelf, and why our integrations just work.

  4. Validate before submission

A per-category rule engine checks every model — fields, ranges, formats, mandatory documents — so models pass the first time.

  5. Register vs. update

We diff each model against what’s already in EPREL and only send what’s new or changed — clean, cheap re-runs.

  6. Transmit system-to-system

Strict EU XML sent over the official eDelivery network at catalogue scale — not models typed into a portal one by one.

  7. Retrieve labels & report

We pull the generated labels and fiches, hand them back in a report, and flag any model EPREL re-rated to a different energy class.

  8. Keep it current

Scheduled runs keep new and changed models registered automatically — compliance that stays maintained, with no one re-kicking the process.

Questions

EPREL compliance, answered

Do you handle the whole thing, or just give us a tool?

Done for you. We take your product data, register every applicable model through an automated machine-to-machine connection, return the official labels and fiches, and keep it running on a schedule.

Which product categories do you support?

Light sources, water heaters, space heaters and the new smartphones & tablets group today — and onboarding a new category is a defined, repeatable process, so when yours comes into scope we can take it on.

What happens as our catalogue or the rules change?

Scheduled runs keep new and changed models registered automatically, and we track EU delegated acts so your registrations and labels stay current — compliance that’s maintained, not a one-off.

Can you register and sell on marketplaces from one catalogue?

Yes — dual-channel is proven. The same catalogue can drive EPREL registration and a marketplace feed like Amazon, as we deliver for Fucida.

What is the EPREL database?

EPREL is the European Product Registry for Energy Labelling. Suppliers must register every applicable model before placing it on the EU market, with the label and product information sheet attached to each registration.

Is EPREL registration mandatory, and what happens if we do not comply?

It is mandatory under Regulation (EU) 2017/1369 for energy-related products in scope. Non-compliance risks market-surveillance action, delisting by retailers and marketplaces, and fines set at national level.

What is the difference between EPREL and GPSR?

EPREL covers energy labelling and efficiency data for energy-related products. GPSR is the General Product Safety Regulation and covers safety information, traceability and responsible-person data for a much wider set of products. Both are product-data problems — we handle them from the same catalogue.
